DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Development of preliminary plans, elevations, details and diagrams in AutoCAD
3-D color renderings to help you visualize what your project will look like
Coordination and collaboration with other allied professionals who may provide consulting services, including architects, and structural, mechanical and electrical engineers
CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
Comprehensive documentation of project including construction drawings, project manual, purchase orders, and project spread-sheets
Client’s agent for administration of contract documents, bids and negotiations
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
On-site and off-site project management during the construction phase on client’s behalf
Our procurement team plays an integral part in the design process, negotiating with vendors for the best pricing and ensuring on-time delivery and professional installation of all materials
Approves all consultant/contractor submissions assuring compliance with design intent

Lauren & Chase Design Group, Inc. is an interior design firm specializing in the lobbies and hallways of residential co-op and condominium buildings. We design concierge stations, mail rooms, amenity spaces, exterior facades, elevator cabs, and more. Our expertise in this field enables us to design these spaces with the utmost attention to foot traffic, durability, maintenance and public safety issues.
Our team of professionals provides exceptional service at every level of the project including the design, construction and overall project management. We believe each building and client is unique. Starting with the design phase, our goal is to create a unique and innovative solution that will be a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. We provide budget management and scheduling of all activities to ensure a smooth and successful transition into the construction phase. We oversee ordering and tracking of all materials and products, coordinate contractors and consultants, delivery and installation of furnishings, floor and wall coverings, light fixtures etc. We remain committed to providing superior service to our clients even after completion of the project.
PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Susan D. Lauren has been designing and spearheading lobby and hallway renovations in residential properties throughout Manhattan and the boroughs for ten years. For eight years as Senior Interior Designer at one of the biggest design firms specializing in lobby and hallway design in NYC, she quickly rose in breadth of work and industry reputation. Today clients benefit from Susan’s design expertise and experience without a hefty price tag. As principal of Lauren & Chase Design Group, she offers premier design while providing optimum value.
Susan attended the renowned New York School of Interior Design and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design, graduating with honors. Unlike most interior designers, Susan also earned her NCIDQ certification and is NYS-licensed, documenting her expertise in building codes, safety issues and ADA compliance. Additionally, as a LEED Green Associate, Susan is well-versed in environmental and sustainability issues. Susan serves on the Board of Directors of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) of New York.
Susan's personal commitment to excellence is obvious in every stage of the project. She meticulously spearheads the entire design process -- from space planning and aesthetic development through construction and final punch list.
PRINCIPAL
William C. Chase earned his B.S. in Accounting and MBA in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and University of Georgia - Terry College of Business. He has over 15 years of experience managing high-end residential design firms. His experience has enabled him to develop office policies, marketing, planning, procedures, and fully-integrated financial systems. Bill is responsible for all company operations, including all payables/receivables, bookkeeping, marketing and accounting.
For our clients, Bill maintains fiscal responsibility and runs all administrative aspects of projects. This includes contract negotiations and administration, purchasing, budgeting and spreadsheets throughout all phases of the project.
ASSOCIATE DESIGNER
Lucy M. Clarke earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from University of Wisconsin-Stout graduating with honors. Lucy assists Susan in all aspects of design and administrative duties. She is also responsible for maintaining our resource library.
POSITION: ASSOCIATE INTERIOR DESIGNER
DUTIES
Produce 3D renderings for client presentations.
Produce construction documents using AutoCAD for projects and software including Freehand Drawing, AutoCAD drawing, Autodesk 3DS Max Rendering, Google Sketch Up, Adobe Photoshop, and the like.
Measure and survey site conditions.
Design and specify furnishings, lighting, upholstery fabric, coordinate with suppliers and clients.
POSITION REQUIREMENT
Master's Degree in Interior Design.
HOURS
40 hours per week.
